Further afield - local villages

Loxwood was originally a small settlement at the northern end of the Parish of Wisborough Green or “Wysborowe Grene” and was often referred to as the Hamlet of  “Loxwood-End” or “Grene”

Loxwood’s history is inextricably linked to the history of Wisborough Green and also closely connected to the neighbouring villages of Alfold, Ifold, Plaistow and Kirdford, and many of Loxwoods former Patrons lived in neighbouring villages.

The icons below link to details and photos of the villages and their connection to the history of Loxwood.
