“The annual church parade of the Loxwood Comrades to commemorate the unveiling of the village War Memorial was held on Palm Sunday. The ex-servicemen “fell in” at the Post Office, and, headed by the Rudgwick Prize band, marched to the church, the officer on parade being Capt. Spear, M.C. An appropriate address was given by the Rev. Sykes Mclean, vicar of Kirdford. A collection was made on behalf of Guildford Hospital.”
